Spainard, Fernando Torres has scored four stunning goals in his last two matches.

“In the past I was feeling very good, with fitness and feeling sharp, but I couldn’t score,’’ Torres said. “Now, to be honest, I’m not playing as well as before but I’m scoring goals. I’m happy with the hat-trick. Hopefully it will be the first of many,” said Torres.

“From my first day in English football, everything was really good and looking easy. I was scoring almost every day and things were very good. I have had one very difficult year here where things were not right. When you work hard – it’s the only thing you can do – the rewards have to come, and it’s time to enjoy now.”

Roberto Di Matteo talked about Torres.

“I was always pleased with his contribution,’’ said the interim head coach. “He was always working very hard for the team, putting assists in. I’m pleased with him today. It’s great for a striker, for his confidence, but we work as a team. The confidence comes with the wins and, for a striker, with the goals a bit as well. But the whole team is playing with confidence now.”

Liverpool return to Wembley after their recent narrow Carling Cup triumph against Cardiff with high hopes on Luis Suarez and £35m man Andy Carroll.

Tickets are selling fast to this historic clash between the popular Premier League Giants. Do not miss the chance to watch Andy Carroll, Steven Gerrard, Luis Suarez, Didier Drogba, Fernando Torres and other outstanding footballers fighting for the FA Cup silverware.

FA Cup Final Update – Fernando Torres and Luis Suarez Score Hat-Tricks

In the run up to the FA Cup Final clash between FC Chelsea and FC Liverpool, fans are buzzing with excitement about the recent hat-tricks by Torres and Suarez.

Spectacular hat-tricks were scored over the weekend by Chelsea’s Fernando Torres (Spain) and Liverpool’s Luis Suarez (Uruguay), who warmed up for Saturday’s English F.A. Cup final.

Spainard, Fernando Torres joined the Blues after an $80 million transfer from Liverpool last year. He scored three goals in the 6-1 defeat of Queens Park Rangers. Torres also put the finishing touches of Chelsea’s UEFA Champions League win at Barcelona.

Luis Suarez scored all of the Reds’ three goals in his first hat-trick ever for the team in a 3-0 win at Norwich City.

“Every goal was a great goal but it’s not a surprise because of the quality of the player he is,” Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish said. “I don’t have a catalogue of the best hat-tricks ever, but certainly it was a fantastic hat-trick. But when you have got people of his ability there are no surprises.

“He is a fantastic footballer and a fantastic person. We are very fortunate to have him playing for us. And when he plays like that it is very difficult for anyone to stop him.”

Luis Suarez Hat-Trick Delivers 3-0 Victory to Liverpool

Premium FA Cup Final 2012 Tickets are still available.

Liverpool FC is in eighth place in the Premier League table going into their clash v FC Chelsea in the upcoming FA Cup Final Match.

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez scored a beautiful goal from 55 yards to complete a stunning hat-trick in a 3-0 Premier League victory for FC Liverpool against Norwich City at Carrow Road.

Manager Kenny Dalglish had praise for Suarez and the rest of his men following the win.

“It is called a work in progress,” said Dalglish. “We have said that before and there is no need for us to change.

“After the Carling Cup I said we are not the finished article and we are saying the same thing now.”

“He’s a special player. It was a fantastic performance.

“Everybody knows what’s coming ahead on Saturday but the team did their jobs professionally and efficiently.”

“The players who play on Tuesday will have the same determination to get the victory,” said the Liverpool manager. “I can’t guarantee we will be as good as that but the players who play will do as well as they can.”

“Luis has been like that many times this year and not been rewarded – and it’s the same with the team.

“That third goal is not difficult to score if you’ve got Luis Suarez’s ability – it’s more difficult if you are a mere mortal.

“The clean sheet was also important for us. It gives the defenders and Pepe Reina a bit of a boost.”

Midfielder Steven Gerrard had praise for Suarez as well.

“I was just about to give him a rollicking but I ended up clapping him,” said Gerrard. “It was a fantastic individual performance by Luis. It was world class, so clinical.

“We are lucky to have him. Only certain players in the world can score goals like that third one – and he is one of them. It was about vision more than technique.”

FA Cup Semi Final 2012: Liverpool v Everton – FA Cup Final Tickets

Steven Gerrard, Liverpool FC Captain

FA Cup Semi Final 2012: Liverpool v Everton

On Saturday April 14th, Wembley Stadium will host Liverpool v Everton in the first semi-final of 2012 The FA Cup with Budweiser. Everton fans will be in the West end of the stadium, while Liverpool’s fans will be in the East. The kick-off time is 12.30pm.

Liverpool Football Club sealed their place in the semis after a 2-1 victory over Stoke City at Anfield, whilst the Toffees secured their place after beating Sunderland in a 6th Round replay.

Liverpool have beaten Everton twice this season. The Reds won the Carling Cup at Wembley in February.

Liverpool Captain Steven Gerrard knows the team must hold their focus going into the match. Last month Gerrard became the first Liverpool player to score a hat-trick in a Merseyside derby at Anfield since Fred Howe in 1935.

“It’s a proud day for me to lead the lads out at Wembley again and it’s a proud day for the city,” he said. “It’s a massive game and it’s been a long time since Liverpool played Everton at Wembley so it’s a fantastic occasion for the supporters.

“It’s another important game for us players, we need to try and forget it’s Everton and just focus on a really tough game on the day. We realise that it’s important not to get ahead of ourselves. Although the game is at Wembley, it’s still only a semi-final. There’s still one massive hurdle to get over before we can get to the final. We still believe we can beat anyone, Everton included. What we have to do is make sure we’re ready and focused and we concentrate on the game rather than the occasion.”

“We’ve beaten Everton twice this year so that should give us belief and confidence but we need to perform to the same levels at Wembley to get the same result,” Gerrard added. “We believe that we have the players in our squad capable of doing the job on the day but we all need to deliver good performances – all the players. To reach two major cup finals in the same season would be a fantastic achievement.”

FA Cup: Bolton v Spurs Replay – Tickets

The Bolton Wanderers return to the pitch at White Hart Lane against Tottenham Hotspur only 10 days after Fabrice Muamba suffered a cardiac arrest there in the original FA Cup quarter-final.

Muamba, 23, is still in intensive care in the London Chest Hospital following his collapse on the pitch shortly before halftime in the March 17 clash.

Owen Coyle said on Monday that Fabrice was continuing to improve, and even watched highlights of Bolton’s 2-1 Premier League win over Blackburn Rovers at the weekend.

“He was able to watch Match of the Day on TV on Sunday morning and if there is any humour in that, I’m told he fell asleep when the score was still 2-0,” Coyle said.

Coyle reflected upon the fans support after the previous FA Cup match was abandoned.

“There was a real sense of unity,” Coyle said, while acknowledging it would be tough to return to the North London ground to play the game.

“He has taken it in now and is so thankful to everyone for the support that has been shown to him.

“The most important thing for us is his recovery but in the last few days he’s been able to take in more the goodwill that globally he’s been getting from people. It’s so great to know that bit by bit he is getting better too.”

The original game ended on 41 minutes with the scores at 1-1. Tueday’s match will start again from the beginning with the score at 0-0.

Bolton’s match with Aston Villa was postponed last Tuesday before they beat relegation rivals Blackburn on Saturday.

Spurs manager Harry Redknapp said that the Spurs are eager to reach the next stage of the FA Cup.

“It is important for us,” he told reporters.

“We want to get to Wembley, firstly for the semi with Chelsea and then all the way to the final.

“The FA Cup is a big thing for this club. We would be desperately disappointed if we did not reach the semi-final now.”

Fabrice Maumba Facing Long Road To Recovery

Fabrice Maumba Tribute

Fabrice Maumba Facing Long Road To Recovery

Fabrice Muamba remains in the London Chest Hospital, where he was admitted on Saturday night after suffering a cardiac arrest during his club’s FA Cup quarter-final with Tottenham at White Hart Lane.

For two days, amid an outpouring of support from family, fans, and members of the football community, Patrice Muamba, 23-year-old Bolton midfielder, remained in critical condition in intensive care with his long-term prognosis uncertain.

“Hi Doc, I’m fine,” said Fabrice Muamba as he was gaining consciousness after his heart attack. Muamba immediately asked about his son, “Where’s Josh.”

His father Marcel asked him if he knew who he was. ‘Yes’ – ‘Did we lose?’

When told the match was called off while the two teams were drawing 1-1, Fabrice asked why and his father said, ‘Because of you’.”

Patrice Muamba remains in intensive care at the London Chest Hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest during his club’s FA Cup clash with Tottenham Hotspur.

Bolton Wanderers doctor Jonathan Tobin revealed it took 15 shocks to get the 23-year-old’s heart started after he collapsed on the pitch on Saturday – and was legally dead.

He also told how medics worked on Muamba for 48 minutes between his collapse and arrival at the hospital. Then it took another 30 minutes before his heart started beating again.

He said, “In effect, he was dead in that time.”

Dr. Tobin said: “I’m glad to say that the early signs of recovery have continued.”

I went in to see him last night, and he said ‘Hi, doc’”, said Dr. Tobin. “I asked him how he was and he said ‘Fine’.”

Dr Tobin said Muamba asked him what had happened.

“I explained to him what had happened. That’s the sort of level of communication I have had with Fabrice.”

Speaking at the hospital in Bethnal Green, East London, he told of his reaction when he first realised the player was in trouble.

He said all that was going through his head was “Oh my God, it’s Fabrice”.

Dr Andrew Deaner, the cardiologist and Tottenham fan who leapt from his seat in the crowd and rushed on to the pitch to help the player said: “If you’re going to use the term miraculous, I guess it could be used here.”

“I understand you’re a very good footballer,”said Dr Deaner.

“I try,’” replied Fabrice.

Fabrice asked why Bolton’s FA Cup tie at Spurs had been abandoned — and was told by his dad: “Because of you.”

The 23-year-old Bolton midfielder collapsed on the pitch just before half-time during the club’s FA Cup quarter-final with Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday. Initial attempts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful, his heart started beating on its own again later in hospital.

Lionel Messi and Carlos Tevez were among those footballers wearing Maumba tribute jerseys at their matches this week.

Muamba’s family, friends, fans and the football community have all sent prayers and tributes.

Maumba’s fiancee Shauna said, “All your prayers are working people thank u so so much. Every prayer makes him stronger. To God be the glory.”

“Fabrice has felt every single prayer guys you’ve been INCREDIBLE!!!. Thank u all so so much I love and appreciate u all. Thank u again xx.”

Bolton manager Owen Coyle, who has been by his player’s side since the incident on Saturday, last night thanked people for their support and spoke highly of Muamba.

“We know what a humble person Fabrice is and the messages of support, the phone calls and the text messages from everyone in the Premier League, the Football League and beyond – which we’ve been passing on to the family – it is humbling to have that level of support.

“We are all hopeful of a positive outcome but as you can imagine it is a difficult situation. The family are bearing up as best they can. They are very positive people, as Fabrice is, and we’re all hoping he came through this.

“You can feel the strength, unity and togetherness they and as a family they are showing that. It gives them incredible energy.”

Chelsea 5-2 FA Cup Quarter-final Win v Leicester City

Fernando Torres, Chelsea FC

Chelsea Qualify For FA Cup Semi-Finals!

Fernando Torres led Chelsea FC to their fourth straight victory since AVB was sacked – moving The Blues into the FA Cup Semi-finals with Chelsea’s stand-in manager, Di Mateo.

Fernando Torres ended his five-month goal drought with a brace in Chelsea’s 5-2 FA Cup quarter-final victory over Leicester City.

“I thought Fernando had a terrific game, he fought very hard for the team and managed to score a couple of goals too. It’s wonderful for him,” Di Matteo said.

“I think the whole team and all the supporters are happy for him because he works so hard for the team. He is a great team player. When you work hard in life you get rewarded.

“I didn’t mind when he wasn’t scoring because as long as we win that is all that matters. But hopefully his confidence is going to be very high now.”

“He is not only a good player, he is a good guy. I have a lot of belief in him and the other players,” Di Matteo said.

“I have been speaking individually to all the players and that includes him.

“But I wouldn’t want to take any credit for that. It’s down to the boy’s immense belief and work-rate on the pitch.”

Gary Cahill opened the scoring for Chelsea after learning that his former Bolton team-mate Fabrice Muamba collapsed on the pitch during a match at Tottenham.

“We spoke to Gary before the game. He was shaken like everyone in the football community,” Di Matteo said.

“I thought he had a good game in the circumstances, but our thoughts and prayers are with Fabrice.”

“Every game we have won so far has given the team as a whole and players individually a little more confidence and this win just cements that,” Di Matteo said.

“We are just happy we have overcome every hurdle so far. You don’t really have time to enjoy the wins because the next game comes on Wednesday.

“We are happy we are in the semis and now we are focusing on Man City.”
